I'm currently working as a researcher, illustrator, and script supervisor for the BBC Natural History Unit, in Children's TV.
Responsibilities include designing treatments, designing characters, researching species, behaviours, and locations for several ideas and shows, and finding talent. I am an experienced archive researcher; and I have worked across from development, pre-production, studio (script supervisor), animatic edits, production, and post-production.
I have a Master's in Wildlife Filmmaking from the University of the West of England (UWE), in partnership with the BBC Natural History Unit. As part of my MA, I produced, filmed, animated, and edited The Watchman, an authored film about Zimbabwean wildlife artist Tichaona Ncube.
I am a confident self-shooting producer & editor, working solo for organisations such as the British Trust for Ornithology, Wildlife Countryside Link, UK Youth for Nature, and Invicta Wildlife Fund to produce short films to a brief - both locally and internationally.
In 2023, I was awarded Wader Quest's anniversary grant to produce a short film The Lost Songstress exploring curlews.
In 2020, I received a grant from the British Ecological Society to help me further my science communication and wildlife film skills by allowing me to purchase camera gear, and letting me work as a camera assistant for Ecology Resources, under the direction of Nigel Marvin.
